In 2012, I spent a weekend refinishing and upholstering, an antique chair with fun, colorful fabrics that fit my home. The creativity and craftsmanship were so satisfying that I couldn't wait to do it again. Suddenly, I had so many ideas never did, I think that it would lead to an entire career shift. And then I'd eventually be creating and styling chairs for clients all over the world. And really, even after years of building the chair whimsy brand, I couldn't believe that I was about to hit the button and go live on my very first online course teaching others how to do this. When I connected with my students and saw their satisfaction and pride in the chairs that they produce. After taking my programs. I knew that's what I was meant to do. What you see on my Instagram feed in my chairs, and my overall brand is how I want to contribute to the world. I want to bring color, inspiration and fun into people's lives. I think chair whimsy is appealing to many people, because although the work is of the highest quality, the approach is fun. And the outcome of everything we create is beautiful for the sake of being enjoyed as beautiful. There's a universal theme and everything from the chairs I sell through every single online course or live event. That theme is play.
