mean by this? Why do you need to
talk to your customers first
before you go off and create
tons of video content, because
sometimes you may put all this
time, energy and effort into
creating videos thinking that
you're speaking to the right
audience, when there may not be
a right audience to product fit
or audience to message fit that
you're looking for. What you
need to do first is simply put
in the time into research. This
research requires you to
interact with your paying
customers if you don't have any
paying customers yet to a new
brand or a new product or
service. then identify, put in
the effort identify who this
perfect customer looks like who
they are, how they spend their
time on a day to day basis,
where they hang out online, and
what their pains problems are
what keeps them up at night.
What do they want to happen in
their lives or in their
business, the more you can
understand what makes them tick
and how to talk about them in a
way that helps them feel seen
and heard by you. And what you
offer, the more clearly you can
insert this message that will
attract them inside of your
content inside of your videos.
So this interaction with your
customers may look like simply
interviewing a potential
customer, a dream customer, or
doing some competitive research
to see hey, here's a brand or
business that looks like me.
Here's what their customers look
like. Here's how they talk about
their experience with a similar
product or service to mine. The
more you can use that same
language and put it into your
video scripts, and then put it
into your video content across
YouTube into ads on your
website, then that's where that
powerful message and the way to
monetize your message will
become possible for you. This
will supercharge your marketing
help you get more visible help
you stand out. Because your
audience who will eventually
through the effort of your video
content and your messages will
know that they can feel
confident to take the next step
to visit your website. Go to a
sales page and buy from your
business. Think of that analogy
that many marketers use. They
say in quoting the Field of
Dreams movie with Kevin Costner,
if you build it, they will come.
In this movie, Kevin Costner
builds a baseball diamond and
these legends of baseball come
and join at this diamond. But in
marketing and attracting your
perfect customers. It doesn't
work the same way. If you go off
to build all your video content
first without interacting, and
knowing whether your audience
will actually be attracted to
and come to that message that
you're sharing, then it will
kind of be worthless. And that's
