Trying to come up with ideas for videos is a struggle, isn't it?
We know. We've been there. But we also know that you can't just throw up your hands and say "Nope! I'm out of ideas!" You have to get creative—and fast.
So here's what we suggest: try looking at some of the most popular videos on YouTube to see what kinds of things are getting views. For example, if you're looking for inspiration for a video about cats, check out the top cat videos on YouTube and see what they're doing. You might find yourself thinking "Hmmm… that might work!" or "Hey! Let's do something like that!"
And if you're feeling really stuck, don't be afraid to look around online for inspiration. There are tons of sites out there dedicated specifically to helping people make great videos. Or just ask your friends if they have any ideas! It never hurts to ask!
We build YouTube channels that turn your views into revenue with Video Supply’s YouTube Marketing Agency.
Let's talk about how to have unlimited content ideas. So that way you can show up confidently on the daily for your audience. First off, you want to do audience research, you want to know who your ideal customer is, with super in depth knowledge. This is gonna come down to how you interact with them both on video, but in person, or virtually. So do an interview with them. Ask them all the questions that you can think of what they like, what they dislike, what they do in the morning, how they spend their time, do they have a family? Do they like go to certain restaurants, when you know them so well, you'll create video content so well. And as you collect this information, write it down as notes, have it become a new video topic to address, emphasize the pain and the problems and the struggles that they are experiencing in your content, the more that you can identify that problem and present a solution, the more that they'll see you as what they need to trust when it comes to content consumption watching you on whatever platform you may be publishing on. So write these notes in a Google spreadsheet, in your project management software, on a piece of paper on a whiteboard, wherever may be taking notes and have a line for each topic idea. As it comes to you with these interactions with your ideal customer. Another area to pull many ideas from is your own life. Part of what makes your message so unique is you. You have unique perspective and unique stories that no one else shares and has in common. So you need to lean into that. So spend some time in silence thinking to yourself and writing down what are all of the stories that have happened throughout my life that could potentially have relevance to a business and message that my audience needs to hear. It could be a day to day activity, like going to the grocery store or walking the dog. Or it could be a business event or experience smaller, large that had an impact on your development as a person as a business owner. And more when you do this self introspection, you can identify lots of little mini stories and ideas that will become a wealth of opportunity for your next video or hundreds of videos in the future. even consider what's happening today. What's happening tomorrow, what happened last week? Well you have for breakfast, each of these can become a story that could be relevant to a specific topic or your audience with these ideas that are starting to come in. As you take notes. Don't feel like you have to reinvent the wheel, you need to first have a clear message in place. No simply what is the main or multiple primary problems that my audience experiences? And how can I solve that for them with my business with my product or my service. And when you can identify those problems, you can connect those one or three or five or 10 problems, not too many more than that and connect all of those to a topic or story that you can talk about. You may have hundreds of video topic ideas and stories to share that relate to one problem that your audience has. So relate an emotion to a story. And that will give you plenty of video topic ideas. I hope this is helpful are now starting to generate and get some ideas for your next video your next 100 videos that you're going to record and remember just pull from a day to day experience, search for it figure out what can I talk about that gets my audience to solve a problem because even if you feel like you're talking about the problem 100 times over, I guarantee your audience is going to need to hear it or they may be hearing it for the first time as a new customer or audience, in your business and on your channels. So place these ideas into one place and start creating video content. To get more help with this visit video. spy.com Thanks for watching.
